Alex Kerimli was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, former USSR. His military service was in the Armed Forces of the KGB (Border Guard unit) in the mountainous region of the USSR/Iran border from 1985 to 1987. He was a member of the CPSU (Communist Party of the Soviet Union) till 1989. Being disillusioned by the Marxist ideology and eventually by “Scientific” Atheism, he left the CPSU first and in the winter of 1994 became a Born-Again Believer. He emigrated to Canada in the autumn of 1994. He was rebaptized (the first baptism was performed while he was an infant in the Russian Orthodox Church in Baku) in 1997 at the Polish Baptist Church in Toronto. He started witnessing to his co-workers and neighbors, did door-to-door knocking, and gave away tracts on the streets. After 9/11, he decided to check if the concept of Jihad (the Holy War) was taught in the Qur’an. What he found there shocked him. All the stories of the Old Testament prophets and Patriarchs as portrayed in the Qur’an were radically different. In 2007, he published his first book, “Qur’an – Bible Comparison,” and went onto the streets of Downtown Toronto to share the Gospel with Muslims. During the next 4 years, he became active in local ministries to Muslims like FFM, CNMM, and LMT. He was a speaker at various seminars conducted by these ministries. During this time, he found out that Muslims in general are “immune” to the Gospel message. No matter how many questions from Muslims he answered, they nevertheless insisted that Islam was the only right religion and the Qur’an was the only Divine book from Allah (God). He was dismayed by the lack of results and started looking for a way to present the Gospel message effectively. He was frequent in Muslim-Christian interfaith dialogues, and within two years of talking to Muslims on the streets and in these dialogues, he realized that, to present the Gospel message without rebuttals from Muslims, he first needed to “dismantle” the authority of the Qur’an and the teachings of Muhammad. From 2009 to 2011, he used arguments that eventually evolved into a systematic approach involving a series of arguments he called the “Master Key.” On September 11, 2011, he successfully used that approach for the first time, nearly 10 years after he read the Qur’an for the first time. Since that time, he has used it hundreds of times on the streets, sitting with Muslims at houses and coffee shops. Alex debated Muslims apologists such as Sadat Anwar, Shabir Ally and Ejaz Ahmed. Since 2012, he has published the booklet “Muhammad was right” and the novel “Arabian Night”. In the next 8 years, he added another argument next to the “Master Key,” called “Global Torah Change Conspiracy.” He started developing his YouTube channel from December 2015. Since 2021, he has started teaching Christians, debating Muslims and witnessing to them in the Russian-language segment of the Telegram platform. In 2019, he met with Pastor Greg Armstrong. They started developing the “Master Key” further, strengthening it and adding a new argument, “Midrashic Connections.” Now the “Master Key” became a part of the “Trilogy”, combined into the most persuasive systemic evangelistic tool to reach out to Muslims with the Gospel. Together they recorded many videos dealing with the pressing issues of Muslims evangelism. From June 2025, Greg and Alex joined a new platform, built by ex-Muslim Shahriq Khan at Skool.com. The community is called “Christ Underground”. Since that time, the “Trilogy” was taught in dozens of countries across the Globe and hundreds of Christians and Muslims were exposed to the argument. Now the team has widened and includes Belle Liu and Pavel Svinukhov. We now have a dozen leaders who teach local groups in Ontario, Texas, Southern California, and Michigan. We also have groups in Netherland and France.
